What is the West Coast Sea Kayak Symposium?

The Symposium is a collection of the finest kayak manufacuturers, speakers, and instructors, all brought together in one place so paddlers can experience everything that is sea kayaking. It is for beginner and veteran paddlers alike, for young and old, for anyone with interest in the sport of kayaking. It's all about getting people on the water, safely and confidently.

Cost:

$130 3-Day Pass - This gives you access to all Symposium events (on-water instruction, beach demos, presentations, etc.) for all three days.

$65 Day Pass - This gives you access to all Symposium events (on-water instruction, beach demos, presentations, etc.) for one day.

$30 Beach Pass - This gives you access to the beach demo area only (no on-water instruction, presentations, etc.) for one day, where you can demo any products.

Children 13 & under are half price (On-site registration only)

Activies:

Manufacturer's Demos: Over 30 manufacturers will be spread out on 1400' of sandy beach with their latest and best products, all for you to try out.

Exhibition & Retail Hall: A chance to buy some of the latest kayak products from local retailers, as well as Symposium products.

On-water Instruction: A full slate of instructional, on-water classes each day, ranging from beginning paddle strokes to advanced skills. All the equipment you need is provided free of charge.

Classes and Presentations: Talks, demonstrations, and classes on a wide variety of subjects, including Navigation, Fitness, Cooking, Safety, Boatbuilding, as well as Special Presentations Friday and Saturday nights.

Special Events, Fun Events, & Contests: Book Signing Opportunities, Barbeque, Music and Dancing, and the Cardboard Kayak Race.
